CROFT was selected by Cherokee County School District for the modernization of the 117,552 SF elementary school, originally built in 1996. The primary scope of work is the complete replacement of the entire HVAC system and energy management controls. The new upgraded HVAC system will not only increase energy efficiency but will also address humidity issues and provide cleaner air. All of the plumbing fixtures are being upgraded. New lighting systems are being implemented with new LED fixtures including color-tunable, dimmable capabilities in special needs classrooms. For the betterment of durability and aesthetics, new ceilings painted walls and new flooring will be added throughout the facility. Major upgrades to the kitchen include new floor drains, exhaust hoods, a serving line, a cooler, a freezer, new equipment, and finishes. The hydroponics lab is being renovated with more appropriate mechanical systems, infrastructure, and finishes.
